    What’s inside the Ninja tree?

Well, it looks like there’s only steps. But the good news is that once you reach the top, you get to meet a character!

    What’s happening in this picture?

The player has to climb up the interior of this tree to interact with a character that resides there.

What’s your favorite thing about this image?

I like the transition of different environments as the player advances up the tree interior.

    Even more trees!

We saw some trees in a previous post from one of the polls, but we seem to have been treated with some even more impressive trees to be featured in the game. Jim Stigall, Senior Concept Artist told the Official LEGO Universe site,

What were the inspirations behind this image?

I took a lot of inspiration for these trees from background illustrations in the first animated classic features.

The green tree shows the tree but with no leaves, could this be part of the LEGO Universe plot or what the tree looks like in Winter?

    A Castle and a Zeppelin?

From this piece of concept art, we can see a mysterious evil zeppelin flying above a castle. Jerry Meyer, the lead concept artist said,

What were the inspirations behind this image?
This was somewhat inspired by a popular science fiction film. In the movie there is a giant ad-blimp that flies over the city.

    What’s happening in the image?
This is supposed to be a fortified wall that surrounds a giant city shortly before it is attacked by a giant spike-shaped projectile that originated from an enemy source.”
